A unique festival with no equivalent in France
In only 12 years, the Carcassonne Festival has become the cultural event of reference for the entire south of France. A Festival that has never stopped evolving, growing year after year in terms of its ambitious programme, its stages, and its reputation, which now extends beyond the borders of France.
The burning of the Cité
Breathtaking !
More than 700,000 people flock to the banks of the Aude to watch the incredible fireworks display. Every 14th of July, from 10:30 pm and for more than 25 minutes, you can admire a blaze of blue, white, yellow, green, red, gold and a grandiose final bouquet. More than 1200 impacts in 6 seconds on 600 meters of facade.
